Origin of Life: Take a Stand – Actions
1 – Invest time and research into determining the facts and
history of the theory of evolution.
Become aware of the limitations of the theory and its “mutations”
over time.
2 – In a small study group or at church-level develop a
position paper on the Christian worldview of the origin of life, including
articulation of the prevailing scientific theory. Make this statement/position paper available for membership and
visitors to read.
3 – Form a committee or study group to investigate what is
being taught in the neighborhood schools.
Where appropriate petition the school board to instruct both the
strengths and weaknesses of evolutionary theory, including sub-theories that
have been claimed as supporting evidence, which have since been
discredited.
4 – Do not avoid the topic of “evolution” in Christian
education. Face the matter in
confidence armed with knowledge of both sides of the argument.
5 – If you believe the “Theory of Evolution” is compatible
with the Christian worldview, you: (1) must not understand the scientific
theory; (2) must not understand the Christian worldview; or (3) must not
understand both. “If chance exists in any size, shape, or
form, God cannot exist. The two are
mutually exclusive. If chance existed,
it would destroy God’s sovereignty. If
God is not sovereign, he is not God. If
he is not God, he simply is not. If
chance is, God is not. If God is,
chance is not.[i]
6 – This website and Pivot of Civilization or Rivet of
Life? are offered to
equip and encourage Christians to be better disciples of Jesus Christ. Beyond being informative, these references are intended to be incitements to action. StandForGod.Org
is a general call to
take up a more ardent, scripturally accurate, influence-driven stand for God. The
Organization is a means by which like-minded Christians can find each
other and fellowship. If your mind is in accord and your heart is at
peace with StandForGod.Org, prayerfully consider membership and posting a www.StandForGod.Org bumper sticker on your car or elsewhere.
