Who Should I Vote For In 2006? Take a Stand – Actions

– Denominations, churches, small groups and individuals need to analyse the election process (and its contemporary election results) from a Christian perspective to discover the basis for our profound failure to influence the nation toward God-fearing governance.  The historical dogma advocating separation of church and state needs to be exploded and replaced with a current, well articulated and publicized position on the roles of all levels of Canadian Christendom in promoting Godly governance.  The negative consequences of the shift to secularism and pluralism in the Canadian psyche need to be proclaimed as a rallying call for Christians to get off their duff and do something for the Kingdom.  Christian leadership should be held accountable for properly informing their membership of “Christian” election issues of the day and for cultivating a culture of Christian integrity – the full application (seven days-a-week) of scripture at home, work, church and in the voting booth.

– The policies, ideologies and day-to-day decision-making of the political Left need to be analyzed by all levels of Canadian Christendom to discover the pervasive anti-Christian tenets of contemporary socialism.  Although, the case might be made that there are shortcomings with the practical realities available on the political Right, it is now unequivocal that traditional (Orthodox/Evangelical/Catholic) Christian values and principles anchored in heterosexism are no longer part of the Left or liberal Centre political positions.  Authentic believers need to recognize that the so-called “religious Right” has strong inherent reasons for its existence.  On the other hand, there are inherent reasons for the strong membership ties between the NDP and the apostate United Church of Canada.  The defence of traditional values and ordinances is a small “c” conservative principle, anathema to those embracing sexual liberation ideology, homosexism and fundamental liberalism – i.e. the NDP, Liberal Party and United Church.

– Canadian Christendom must recognize that same-sex marriage completes the shift of the state (courts and governance institutions) from a position advocating a heterosexist worldview with “toleration” of homosexuality to that of promoting a homosexist worldview with “indifference” to homosexuality.  Equally, believers need to now acknowledge the fundamental (legislated) collision of rights, values and interests between the state and the church (Canadian Christendom) created by the state’s adoption of a homosexist worldview.  All believers need to guard their hearts from a toxic attitude of “indifference” towards homosexism.  Christians need to look ahead and visualize the struggles to come when secular humanists, supported by a homosexist state, demand legislation promoting euthanasia, human cloning, varied reproductive technologies, bisexual and polygamous marriages, liberalized child custody rights, and the like.

– Canadian Christendom must demonstrate unprecedented unity through a nationally publicized clear, comprehensive, augmented declaration of beliefs that address the boundaries of orthodoxy in this so-called "post-Christian" era and also organize as never before to better influence Canadian governance in a Godly direction. Silence, apathy, acquiescence, ignorance and indifference among believers compromises our witness and kills our influence.  Christian fellowship with apostate denominations, churches and believers must end.  Christian approval and support of fundamentally anti-Christian organizations must also end.

This website and Pivot of Civilization or Rivet of Life? are offered to equip and encourage Christians to be better disciples of Jesus Christ.  Beyond being informative, these references are intended to be incitements to action.  StandForGod.Org is a general call to take up a more ardent, scripturally accurate, influence-driven stand for God.  The Organization is a means by which like-minded Christians can find each other and fellowship.  If your mind is in accord and your heart is at peace with StandForGod.Org, prayerfully consider membership and posting a www.StandForGod.Org bumper sticker on your car or elsewhere.
